Technicians


Vicki Frawley

Works hard on scheduling staff and ordering supplies to keep our hospital running smoothly as our Head Technician.  She joined the animal hospital shortly after it opened.  She and her husband Matt have 6 dogs; 2 Pitbulls named Sadie and Pearl (pictured on the left), a Boston Terrier named Virgil, 2 English Mastiffs named Big Al and Kiowa, and a Boxer named Jake.  They also have 5 cats, Cassidy, Groovy, Indugoo, Levon, and Reese.  Their newest addition to the family is a Hamster named Joe Dirt. 


Theresa Holz

She joined the Muddy Creek Animal Hospital family shortly after it was opened.  Theresa is one of our most knowledgeable technicians.  When she is not keeping our daily operations organized, she enjoys spending time with her children Alyssa and Anthony.  They adopted a Beagle from Animal Control named Lu and recently added a kitten to the family named Gilbert.  They also have a hamster named Tina.


Ashley Nicholson

Ashley has worked for the hospital since March 2003.    She is the hospital "Lorax" and has recently implemented a recycling program here at our hospital.  Ashley also assists Dr. Gray in planning educational lecture seminars for our community. She spends what spare time she can making cakes or relaxing with her husband Keith.  They have 3 dogs, a Pitbull named Prudence, a Lab named Buster, and a Mutt named Citgo.  They also have 5 cats, Pepperoni, Fanny, Goonie, Tommy, and MauMau.  And to top off their furry family they have 2 rabbits named Captain Rob and Webbigail, and 2 rats named Spud and Sylus (pictured on Ashley's shoulder).


AnnMarie Anderson

AnnMarie graduated from Wilson College in 2002 with a Bachelor Degree in Equine Facilitated Therapeutics.  She started working here August of 2003.  AnnMarie Assists Dr. Gray in the Domitor Antisedan Local Expert (DALE) Program that travels all across the state to various animal hospitals to educate the Veterinary community about multi-modal pain management for surgical patients.  In her spare time, she enjoys mentoring and assisting young equestrian enthusiasts. 


Ronnie Smith

She gets here before the sun even wakes up to set up our surgery suites and machinery for the day.  Ronnie has 2 children, Ashley and Mark.  They have 2 Labs, Sonny and Smokey and 2 guinea pigs, Rufus and Tucker.  Ronnie also owns 2 race horses.


Jennifer Cobb

She started here about 6 years ago as kennel help and moved up to technician shortly thereafter.  Jenn left us for a period of time to work with the Eastern Veterinary Blood Bank.  Having her back with us has proved to be very helpful in implementing the blood donor program here at our hospital.  She has 2 dogs a Boxer, Ellie Mae, a Pitbull, Chomper, 3 rats, MacKenzie (pictured on Jenn's shoulder),Ratapult and Piper, and 2 horses named Killian and Guinness.  Jenn also just adopted 3 ferrets, Conrad, Nancy, and Guillermo, from the local SPCA.


Cat Harris

Cat is one of our hardest working technicians.  She joined our team in June 2006.  Cat came to us with a background of pet store knowledge and used to be a groomer.  Her progress in to the technician side of the animal world has been a pleasure for us all.  Cat's laughter is contagious and fills our hallways with joy.  When Cat is not working, she enjoys spending time with her fiancee John, her Chihuahua, Klondike, her cat, Zoe.  They have also recently taken in two Parakeets.


Karla Thornton

Karla first started here as a receptionist, then left for college.  After spending a semester at school in Alabama, she returned to us as a technician.  Karla is now a student at Anne Arundel Community College, studying to be a nurse.  She is currently enrolled in the Phlebotomy program.  She has proved to be a great asset to the technician team and continues to progress everyday.  Karla spends most of her spare time babysitting or hanging out with her boyfriend Brian and friends.  She has two cats, Psycho and Samara.


Martha Madrid

Martha is a long time client, now employee.  She dedicates her time to rescuing many animals in need.  Martha has a variety of pets including, dogs, cats, rabbits, and birds.  When she is not at work, she is working hard caring for all of her rescued animals at home.  In what little spare time she has she occasionally enjoys traveling with her husband Dan.


Dawn Grollman

When Dawn joined us, she brought with her the knowledge of cat specific care and since has progressed rapidly at our practice.  Dawn enjoys learning and always goes above and beyond expectations.  When she is not working, she is at home with her husband Aaron and 4 children, Sam, Margaret, Noah, and Amber.  They have two dogs, Spot and Jeet, five cats, Frosty, Asher, Mr. Bumbles, Princess Smushie Face, and Bitty Mush Mouth.  They also have two box turtles, Ernest P. Royal and MJ 2, two water turtles, two rats, Brown Noser and Templeton, and a hamster named Pearl the Special Girl.  Dawn is also highly involved in conservation and environmental issues.


Shannon Groves

Shannon is originally from New York.  She and her husband, Adam, now reside here in Maryland.  Shannon came to us from the ASPCA and a local Pet Resort.  She has a gentle touch and a kind heart.  Shannon and Adam have 2 dogs, Delilah and Whitey.  A new edition to the family is expected in February. We will keep you posted.


Cheri Collison

Cheri worked at another local animal hospital for 10 years prior to becoming a part of our team.  She comes to us to provide surgical and anesthesia assistance and organization.  She has a lot of knowledge to offer and has been a great addition to our hospital.  Cheri and her husband have an Aussie named Sunny and many cats.


Wendy Todd

Our newest addition here at Muddy Creek Animal Hospital.  She used to work at an animal hospital in Texas, and also has experience with Zoo animals.  She is very talented and can make her own scrubs.  Wendy has two Labs, Havana and Squeezer, 5 cats, and a bird. 


Megan Gibson

Started here as an intern for the summer of 2007.  She returned to us this summer to continue furthering her knowlege and experience as a veterinary technician.  Megan is applying to vet school this year and plans to attend Virginia Tech next year.  In her spare time she enjoys reading and playing with her Golden Retriever, Cali.
