Hi there!  My name is Ellie Mae.  Welcome to our surgery suite!

As you can see, we have a pretty spacious surgery suite.

This is one of our surgery tables.

And this it the other surgery table.

This is the full surgery room with both surgery tables pictured.  We rarely use both tables at the same time.  Usually, only if there is an emergency surgery needed while routine surgeries are already in progress, will both tables be used.

I may only be wearing a surgery cap, but when the doctors here perform surgery, they scrub in and wear sterile cap, gown, gloves, and mask.  That way chances of infection are reduced as much as possible.

Here is Dr. Gray in full surgical gear ready to begin surgery.

This is our new warming device called a Bair Hugger.  It comes with various sized, air matress-like, warming cushions.  This machine follows our surgical patients from the preping table, to the surgery table, to the recovery area.  It helps maintain a warm core temperature before, during, and after surgery.

Two strangers of the same breed snuggle together on one of the Bair Hugger attachments to use a combination of body heat as well as warm air to keep them warm and to speed recovery for both pups.

Our surgical recovery motto is... if you can't be with the ones you love during recovery, then love the ones you're with.

Right outside of the surgery suite is where we scrub all of our surgical instruments as part of our sterilization process.
