Dental care for your pet is more than just
eliminating stinky breath! It is essential for your
pet's overall health. Dental tartar build up can lead to
infection and inflammation of the gums (gingivitis), recession of
the gums and loose teeth. This bacterial infection in the
mouth causes constant shedding of bacteria into the blood stream
and can lead to heart, liver and kidney problems.
We provide full dentistry services for all
stages of dental disease. Our patients have dental procedures
under general anesthesia. Every animal has an intravenous
catheter in place to receive iv fluids and medications during the
procedure and their vitals are monitored with our anesthetic
monitoring equiptment. We use an ultrasonic scaler to remove
tarter followed by a dental polishing and fluoride treatment.
Diseased teeth are extracted and patients are sent home with
antibiotics and pain medication if indicated.
