We have 2 surgery suites where we perform a wide variety of surgical procedures.  All patients undergoing surgery are intubated with an endotracheal tube, maintained on isoflurane inhalent anesthesia, and have an intravenous catheter in place for adminstration of IV fluids.  We have equipment for monitoring oxygen saturation of the blood, heart rate, and respiration. 

Surgeries performed at Muddy Creek Animal Hospital include:

• canine and feline neuters
• canine and feline ovariohysteriectomies (spay)
• lump removals
• cystotomy (bladder surgery)
• abdominal exploratories
• enterotomies (surgery of stomach and intestines-ex. removal of foreign bodies)
• thyroidectomies (removal of thyroid gland in cats for treatment of hyperthyroidism)
• perineal urethrostomy (for male cats with urinary obstruction)
