Position Descriptions Receptionist Responsibilities include scheduling appointments, answering the telephone, setting up new clients and patients, preparation and maintenance of medical records, over the counter sales, mailings, computer operation, financial transactions, filing, and front office and reception area maintenance. Receptionists will assume the responsibility for acquiring the medical and legal information as necessary for the medical care of the patient/pet. Veterinary Assistants/Technicians Our veterinary assistants are responsible for assisting the doctors in surgery or with medical procedures, monitoring anesthesia, conducting various laboratory tests and radiographs, filling medications, treating hospitalized patients, checking in and checking out exam rooms, and client communication. Veterinary assistants/ technicians are also responisble for operation and upkeep of instruments and equipment, cleaning and sanitizing hospital facility, and mantaining the OSHA and Hazardous Materials standards.
