Diagnostic Services We have a variety of diagnostic tools here at Muddy Creek Animal Hospital. We have the ability to run blood chemistry, blood counts, and electrolytes in house. We are also able to do a urinalysis or even a fecal analysis in our laboratory. |
Surgical Services Our doctors are also skilled surgeons. They can do anything from routine surgeries like spay or neuters, to more complicated surgeries like a cystotomy (bladder stone removal) or even emergency exploratory surgery (removal of foreign body). |
Anesthesia We have the most up to date anesthesia monitoring equipment to help us create safer more efficient surgeries. Every surgery, each animal is monitored closely while under anesthesia. With our equipment we can effectively monitor body temperature, pulse, oxygen saturation, carbon dioxide saturation, blood pressure, and heart rhythms. |
Radiology With our modern X-ray machine, we are able to diagnose forms of disease or injury in sick or painful patients. It is also a very useful tool in diagnosing certain diseases early on in life before they become problematic. |

Pharmacy We carry a wide variety of medications here in the hospital. We can also give you written prescriptions or call in medications to other pharmacies for your convenience. |
Dentistry We offer dental scaling, polishing, and even extractions if necessary. Because scaling and polishing are done with water, every dentistry patient must be put under anesthesia and intubated to reduce the amount of bacteria and debris ingested during the dentistry. Anesthesia is also used for patients in need of extractions, since extractions can sometimes be lengthy and sometimes very painful. |

Dietary Counseling Diet can be the cause of many underlying issues in pets. Obesity, inflammatory bowel, skin allergies are just a few of the conditions diet can cause. For this reason we offer consultations and a variety of prescription diets on-hand. |
Behavioral Counseling We have a number of options when it comes to behavioral challenges. Some behavioral issues can be treated with medications whereas others may need to see a behavioral specialist. |
Emergency Care We offer walk-in emergency care during our business hours. We do our best to treat every emergency rapidly and with the best interest of the patient in mind. If you have an emergency when we are closed, there are now 2 emergency facilities in the surrounding area for overnight and critical care. |
Exotics Dr. Nisson is our primary feathers (Avian) and scales (Reptile) doctor. He is not a specialist, but he will see and treat most exotics. If Dr. Nisson doesn't know exactly what is wrong, he knows the right contacts who will. |
